My kids eat a lot of salads. Szofia, my younger one (10) requested these ingredients to her salad.
- 2 big handful arugula (rocket)
- half cup of sliced raw cabbage
- half cup chopped grilled chicken
- 3 big pinches of broccoli sprout
- half red bell pepper chopped
- 1 Tbsp sunflower seed
- topping: 1 Tbsp home made fajita hummus
- splash of apple cider vinegar
Mix ingredients and enjoy. :)
The above mix is full of colors, vitamins and minerals, there a nice portion of fibre and protein too.
If you give a bag of potato chips to your child, it will lack vitamins, minerals, fibre, colors and will be very high on inflammatory fats.
