Once upon a time ... I made this soup differently. I used only potato and I used highly processed sausages. Recently I do it differently, because I try to put different colours into each meal and I try to avoid all processed meats.

  • 1 medium head onion, chopped
  • 1 big head savoy cabbage, chopped
  • 6 medium potato, chopped (washed but not peeled)
  • 3 medium sweet potato, chopped (washed, but not peeled)
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • water to cover everything in the pot

Instruction:

  • Sautee the peeled and chopped onion on low heat.
  • Add the groud turkey and let it whiten. Stir occasionally, so it doesn't clumps.
  • Wash and chop the potato and sweet potato.
  • Add the potato and sweet potato to the turkey.
  • Chop the savoy cabbage, put it into the pot.
  • Add water.
  • Add salt and spices.
  • Increase heat a bit and cook it for approx 20 minutes. When the potato gets soft, the soup is nearly done.
  • Peel and mince the garlic. Add to the soup, when potato is soft.
  • Turn the heat off, the soup is done.
  • Serve and enjoy!
